Whats the best tattoo kit for self practice?

I’m looking for a good kit including tips, ink, skins, ultrasonic cleaner, etc. I plan on a good few months of practice before my first go at it. No I don’t have thousands of dollars for an apprenticeship nor am I interested in that. I’m an artist and sculptor and simply want to work on myself. I’m not interested in tattooing others. Just keep it to the basics and answer the question.

Well, if you really are just doing it for yourself (and i cannot stress this enough, please do not tattoo others without proper training and sterilization methods), ebay has some cheap kits, from $99 and up. Even the 99 dollar one comes with practice skins, needles, the machine, power supply, ink, etc….basically everything you need AND a nice carrying case. I cannot vouch for these kits on their reliability and quality, but I gotta figure they’re decent.

It would be better to save your money and get the apprenticeship. It’s actually cheaper than getting all the equipment to start up and do it properly.

If you must, your best bet is ebay. Remember though, you won’t be able to get any quality equipment unless you are ordering through a shop.
